Social Media Policy

Think Before You Post

Use common sense when posting. Shenandoah Valley Campground doesn’t pull any punches here:  When you are online, you are representing SVC: our employees, our campers, and our values. There is no room for bigotry, prejudice, misogyny, hatred, or vulgarity in our company or on social media

Post smart. Think before you post and don’t take a chance on jeopardizing your job. If you have any doubts, don’t post it.

  • Respect others.  The Golden Rule applies here.  “Treat others the way you want to be treated”  Wouldn’t want it posted about you?  Then don’t post it about others

  • Keep it confidential. Don’t disclose proprietary information about SVC, fellow employees,  and/or customers to social media – either good or bad news.  If it’s good news, you may want to ask permission from that person to see5t

  • Keep it clean. Dishonorable content such as racial, ethnic, sexual, religious, and physical disability slurs are not tolerated and may result in immediate termination
